We are looking for an Onboard Infrastructure Engineer to join our Autonomous Driving team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the onboard infrastructure that supports autonomous vehicle systems, ensuring reliable communication, data management, and system integration.
You would work on critical infrastructure projects for autonomous driving systems, such as implementing middleware/ROS core functionalities, conducting optimizations to reduce latency and improving system determinism. You will play a critical role in designing and optimizing the architecture that handles real-time data from sensors and computing hardware. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world autonomous driving technology.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement onboard infrastructure modules (sensor driver, health management) to support real-time autonomous driving applications, ensuring computing efficiency, and SW reliability in resource demanding environments.
  • Monitor system performance and implement tools for diagnostics, logging, and recovery to ensure stable vehicle operations.
  • Optimize the deployment of autonomous driving software to embedded systems and onboard computing platforms.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A strong willingness to develop computationally efficient code with consistently low runtime variance
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Write robust, reliable codes

Preferred:
  • Experiences in Sensor SW development
  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System), or similar middleware for robotics and autonomous systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in onboard infrastructure, embedded systems, or systems engineering.
  • Experience with autonomous driving technologies or similar high-performance computing systems
