Job DescriptionWhat you will be doing:
  • Develop new or improved equipment, materials, processes, products, and engineering methods by applying advanced engineering theories and principles.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility, cost, resources, timelines, and business impact.
  • Provide expert-level technical insight into manufacturing and processing methods, materials, and system performance, supporting long-term engineering and production planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and technical experts to provide recommendations, problem-solving approaches, and analytical methods that support multiple projects and programs.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to internal stakeholders and external customers to support key business decisions.
  • Conduct advanced engineering analyses, testing, and validation activities related to new or modified designs, materials, equipment, or processes.
  • Document findings and results in detailed reports.
  • Analyze operational, testing, and research data to establish performance standards for new or modified systems.
  • Assess feasibility of proposed engineering solutions, especially when data is limited or requires validation.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies to improve performance, reduce cost, and enhance engineering capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the development of new tools, processes, and engineering techniques.
  • Maintain technical expertise by staying current with industry trends, attending workshops, reviewing research publications, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, aerospace industry regulations, engineering standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Lead complex engineering assignments and multiple projects, ensuring progress, quality, and successful delivery.
  • Recommend improvements to engineering processes and procedures as needed.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to leadership and act as a subject matter expert on key engineering issues.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in cross-functional or integrated product development teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support knowledge sharing across teams to ensure technical expertise and best practices are effectively transferred.
Experience you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical/Electronics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in complex technical environments.
  • Must have experience working with axial piston pumps.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, systems design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards (aerospace experience preferred).
  • Experience leading technical projects, engineering analyses, and product development activities.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and engineering best practices.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools, data analysis software, and project management systems.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical data, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to leadership and customers.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams or junior talent.
