Job Description

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Principal Treasury Analyst to develop, manage, and continuously improve cash forecasting capabilities for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and its subsidiaries. This role will lead the analysis of cash flow trends, identify key drivers of liquidity movements, and provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, capital allocation, and operational planning.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of short-term, medium-term, and long-term cash flow forecasts.

  • Analyze historical and projected cash trends to identify drivers, risks, opportunities, and emerging patterns.

  • Communicate trends, forecast drivers, risks, and opportunities in a timely, concise, and actionable manner to Senior Management and the Board.

  • Partner with Finance, Treasury Operations, Actuarial, Investments, and other business leaders to gather forecast assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.

  • Optimize excess cash and maximize the return in accordance with the company's investment policies.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 8+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 10+ years of experience in related field.

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), CPA, CFA certification or pursuit of

  • Cash management and cash flow forecasting - Highly preferred

  • Treasury Management Systems (Kyriba, etc.) expertise - Highly preferred

  • Data analytics and reporting

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
