As a Fortune 500 company and a leading AI platform for managing people, money, and agents, we're shaping the future of work so teams can reach their potential and focus on what matters most. We're in this together, tackling big challenges with bold ideas and genuine care. We look for curious minds and courageous collaborators who bring sun-drenched optimism and drive. Whether you're building smarter solutions, supporting customers, or creating a space where everyone belongs, you'll do meaningful work with Workmates who've got your back. In return, we'll give you the trust to take risks, the tools to grow, the skills to develop and the support of a company invested in you for the long haul. So, if you want to inspire a brighter work day for everyone, including yourself, you've found a match in Workday, and we hope to be a match for you too.
About the Team
The Growth (GO) Implementation Strategy team focuses on building, optimizing, and scaling an AI driven deployment approach, so that Workday deployments are repeatable, high quality, and insight-driven across our ecosystem. Our mission is to enable our customers to adopt Workday products in the most effective and efficient manner to ensure lasting success.
About the Role
As a Principal Product Advisor, Financials, you are the primary architect of an AI driven Workday Financials deployment for our GO customers. You will define deployment workflows, configurations, automation, and AI tooling that significantly reduce the customer and consulting effort to deploy our products and increase customer satisfaction.
You will continuously assess deployment tool enhancements, optimize pre-configured content, and translate delivery learnings, escalations, and patterns into concrete improvements. You will also partner with engineering to build AI-driven tools that reduce deployment effort and improve quality. As a P5 Principal, you lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with high autonomy, partnering with senior leaders across Product, Services, and Sales.
Depending on the assigned pillar (Core Financials, Spend Management, or Revenue Management), you will provide:
Domain Strategy: Drive the end-to-end deployment approach and content for your pillar-whether that is Core Financial Management (General Ledger, Assets, Reporting/Analytics), Spend Management (Accounts Payable, Expenses, Procurement), or Revenue Management (Revenue Recognition, Customer Accounts, Contracts).
Cross-Pillar Foundation: Drive excellence in Banking and Settlement and ensure seamless integration across all financial workstreams.
Data and Reporting Excellence: Solve for complex reporting needs-including statutory, management, and operational reporting-by building scalable, tool-based solutions.
Deployment Automation: Identify patterns in implementation challenges and partner with engineering to build AI-driven tools that reduce deployment effort and improve quality.
About You
Basic Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years of experience in enterprise software deployment, financial systems consulting, or a related advisory role within Workday Financials across at least one major pillar (Core Financials, Spend, or Revenue).
Implementation & Technical Leadership: Proven track record of leading complex, global workstreams and strong hands-on proficiency with the Workday Financials product.
AI Fluency: Comfortable using AI tools and generative AI assistants to design or enhance implementation workflows, documentation, and training content.
Strategic Impact: Experience translating deployment challenges and performance data into actionable, automated solutions for an enterprise software implementer.
Other Qualifications
Enterprise Software Deployment: Deep experience planning, configuring, and optimizing enterprise financial software deployments, including managing updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring alignment with existing infrastructure.
Stakeholder Management: Skilled at building and managing relationships with senior leaders across Product, Services, and Sales, ensuring alignment on deployment strategy and facilitating clear communication across groups with diverse needs and priorities.
Solutions Development: Experienced in designing and implementing strategies or systems that solve specific deployment challenges and improve operational efficiency, from optimizing pre-configured content to creating new automation workflows.
Consulting: Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice and solutions in Workday Financials or comparable ERP domains, including analyzing deployment issues, developing strategies, and implementing improvements that enhance delivery outcomes.
Business Acumen: Ability to understand and interpret business situations-such as customer financial reporting requirements and deployment patterns-to make informed decisions that improve deployment quality and efficiency.
Customer Centric Focus: A strong orientation toward understanding and prioritizing the needs of delivery teams and end customers, using their feedback and experience to drive meaningful improvements in the deployment approach.
Content Development: Experience planning, creating, and managing deployment content, guidance materials, and tooling documentation for use by delivery teams and partners.
Communication: Ability to clearly and effectively share complex financial and technical information across diverse audiences, from delivery consultants to senior leadership, adapting your style to the situation.
Problem Solving: Skilled at identifying, anticipating, and addressing deployment challenges, translating patterns in escalations and feedback into scalable solutions.
Leadership: Ability to guide and influence cross-functional teams toward shared goals without direct authority, fostering collaboration and driving alignment on complex initiatives.
Adaptability: Comfortable navigating change, learning from setbacks, and finding a path forward when faced with evolving deployment requirements, new product features, or shifting priorities.
Learning Agility: Ability to quickly learn from new deployment experiences and apply those learnings to unfamiliar situations, staying current as Workday's platform and tooling evolve.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.
