Job description

Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Linux / Unix Systems Administrator to join their team. The role involves managing, monitoring, and maintaining Linux and Unix servers, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing solutions to optimize performance.
Responsibilities:
• Install and configure Linux/Unix servers
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues
• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Implement system security measures
• Maintain and update system documentation
Qualifications:
Required:
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems
• Knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Bash, Perl)
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools
• Understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS)
• Experience with system backup and recovery processes
• Ability to manage file systems and storage solutions
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, etc.
• TS/SCI Full Poly clearance (requires full U.S. Citizenship)
• Install and configure Linux/Unix servers
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues
• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Implement system security measures
• Maintain and update system documentation
Preferred:
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)
