Business Intelligence Analyst

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a Digital Engineering team supporting a proprietary program developing next generation systems in St. Louis, MO.

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence information models, dashboards, metrics, and reports based on stakeholder requirements. The candidate will combine programming and SQL skills, best practices, strategic decision-making capability, and business expertise to deliver efficient and scalable business intelligence solutions.

This position is intended for a Level 2 candidate with demonstrated capability to partner with business stakeholders, develop reporting and analytics solutions, and contribute to the design and implementation of BI assets in support of operational and strategic decision-making.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop Palantir visualizations to tell compelling stories or convey information with data

  • Design, develop, and support business intelligence dashboards, metrics, reports, and information models.

  • Translate business requirements into technical reporting and analytics solutions.

  • Use SQL and related analytical/programming tools to acquire, transform, analyze, validate, and visualize data.

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define reporting needs, key performance indicators, and measurement standards.

  • Ensure business intelligence solutions are accurate, consistent, usable and scalable

  • Document data definitions, metric logic, and business intelligence solution architecture.

  • Support troubleshooting, enhancements, and maintenance of existing business intelligence solutions.

  • Collaborate with vendors and internal partners as needed to assess current and emerging technologies supporting business intelligence needs.

  • Contribute to improving business productivity and business outcomes through effective analytics and reporting.

  • Partners in the design of business intelligence information models, dashboards, metrics, and reports.

  • Applies basic programming and SQL skills to support BI solution delivery.

  • Works with guidance while following standard technologies and methodologies.

  • Contributes to efficient and scalable BI solutions in support of business objectives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Hazelwood, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).

  • Experience in business intelligence, reporting, data analysis, or related analytics discipline.

  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to query, transform, and validate data.

  • Experience developing dashboards, metrics, and reports using standard BI technologies.

  • Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into analytical and reporting solutions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with BI tools such as Palantir, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Superset or similar platforms.

  • Experience with data modeling, dashboard design, and report automation.

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or equivalent analytical tools.

  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting, KPI development, or operational analytics.

  • Knowledge of data quality, governance, and metric standardization practices.

  • Experience working in Cloud ecosystems (GCP, AWS, Azure).
