Role:Principal Big Data Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite 5 days/week)
Job description
As a Principal Big Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in our data platform team, focusing on architecture, design, and development. You'll adapt big-data frameworks to project-specific use cases, communicate effectively with R&D teams and data scientists to resolve bottlenecks, and design scalable data processing and storage architectures. You'll also build tools for ingesting data from diverse sources. Required skills include 3+ years of experience in handling large datasets, using tools like Dataflow, GKE, BQ, Beam, and Java, along with strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in design and implementation in an environment with hundreds of terabytes of data.
  • 3+ years of experience with large data processing tools such as: Dataflow, GKE, BQ, Beam.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java.
  • Can-do attitude on problem solving, quality and ability to execute.
  • Excellent inter-personal and teamwork skills.

Education:
  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent 5+ experience.
