Position: Data Analyst, Compliance Testing

 

Location: Sandy Springs, GA/Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

 

Overview:

The GreenSky Compliance Testing team evaluates adherence to the company's regulatory requirements inventory through review of policies, procedures, and processes, and through loan-level testing. Covered areas include CFPB requirements, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA), and UDAAP (Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices).

The Data Analyst is a core member of the team, supporting the data side of loan-level testing: sourcing, evaluation, automation, mapping, and scripting. This role helps ensure the right data elements are pulled for testing, supports operational and executive reporting and its automation, and contributes to data analysis and architecture across the group.


  • Support execution of the Compliance Management System (CMS) for consumer lending and servicing policies, procedures, and processes, with a focus on consumer-facing activities.
  • Provide analytical support reviewing internal controls for key processes to confirm regulatory compliance.
  • Build and maintain data sampling scripts for manual compliance testing.
  • Support development of an automated testing framework that adapts to evolving compliance requirements.
  • Build automated testing scripts to assess control effectiveness.
  • Perform root cause analysis on performance trends, escalating findings as needed.
  • Support quantitative analysis of large datasets to help identify emerging performance trends.
  • Prepare compliance testing and monitoring summaries for Legal, Compliance, and Operations management.
  • Communicate testing and monitoring results โ€” including control weaknesses and remediation plans โ€” clearly in writing and in person.
  • Support development and reporting of Compliance KPIs.
  • Build subject-matter expertise to become a reliable internal resource.

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar).
  • 1โ€“2 years of experience in an analytical or quantitative role, ideally within compliance, risk management, or a similar function at a financial services organization.
  • Proficiency analyzing large datasets with SQL or Python.
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake, Python, and GitLab.
  • Familiarity with Tableau and data visualization principles.
  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical ability.
  • Genuine interest in applying data and analytics to compliance problems, with eagerness to build financial services and consumer lending expertise.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Our compensation structure is designed to reflect the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $75,000 per year to $120,000 per year. Compensation will be determined by several factors, including relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus within a comprehensive total rewards package, alongside a full suite of medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid personal/sick time.
