Preventative Maintenance NEW Hotel - $23 per hour StudioRes by Marriott Mesa AZ
$23 per hour plus full-time benefits at 60 days
Opening May 2026 under Common Oaks Lodging-Concord Hospitality
We are seeking a skilled and reliable maintenance person to join our team and provide maintenance and repair services to our facility. The maintenance person will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving and communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Your Focus
  • Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
  • Conduct room checkout procedures (strip room, remove trash, PM room)
  • Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
  • Paint designated areas and items.
  • Install and replace basic electrical fixtures, replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures.
  • Repair furniture.
  • Install, replace and program televisions.
  • Perform minor plumbing functions.
  • Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps as well as preventative maintenance on units.
  • Trace and repair all types of water lines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
  • Perform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Follow Service Recovery Guidelines.
  • Notifies General Manager of any major repairs or equipment needs
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance engineer or in a similar role
  • Skilled in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a plus
