The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective engineering solutions while supporting production, fabrication, inspection, and maintenance activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Investigate, develop, and implement equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to support product design and manufacturing requirements.

  • Participate in design reviews, collect engineering requirements, and create detailed drawings, models, and documentation to support manufacturing build plans.

  • Perform tooling liaison activities to support fabrication, installation, qualification, and production use.

  • Create technical specifications, statements of work, and purchase requests for equipment and tooling acquisitions from external suppliers.

  • Ensure designs comply with safety, reliability, maintainability, producibility, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements.

  • Design and analyze pressure vessels, piping systems, autoclaves, and associated mechanical equipment in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards.

  • Perform engineering calculations related to pressure containment, structural integrity, thermal performance, fluid flow, and material selection.

  • Support the design of quick-actuating closures, breech-lock door mechanisms, and autoclaves used in composite curing processes.

  • Provide technical support for fabrication, testing, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance of pressure vessel systems.

  • Apply industry standards including ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.1/B31.3, ASME/ANSI Codes, and NBIC Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4.
