Job description

Zund/CNC Operator

The responsibilities of a Zund/CNC Operator are to set up and operate digital die cutting equipment and ensure the customer needs are met by producing high quality printed material in a safe, productive manner. Responsibilities and duties effectively run all digital die cutting equipment. Complete jobs according to customer specifications by producing quality work and performing quality checks. Monitor production throughout the run for quality, maintaining all required samples as designated by the customer and procedures. Complete standard set up and standard adjustments. Perform basic preventative maintenance in accordance with production schedule. Change modules, bits, blades and tools on all Zund equipment. Meet customer needs by reviewing and following the posted Zund schedule. Troubleshoot various press issues as needed. Ensure have proper press supplies/inventory on hand to meet production needs. Move materials via material handling equipment including forklift and pallet jacks. Track job costs/production hours as applicable. Perform maintenance to department equipment. Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements. Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in timely and accurate manner. Work overtime as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Basic computer skills including email, basic mouse, keyboard and menu navigation. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and measurement. Ability to communicate/understand basic written and verbal instructions. Able to be certified in driving a fork truck and unitize a pallet jack.

Preferred qualifications: 1 plus years of experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution and/or fulfilment.

Physical requirements: Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping. Frequent walking and standing for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 pounds. Ability to visually inspect all work for defects.

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour.
