Muskegon, MI, 1st Shift (7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday), $16+ per hour

Job Summary

Are you a dependable and safety-focused individual looking to grow in manufacturing? We’re seeking a Press Operator to join a Muskegon manufacturer that specializes in stamping, laser cutting, welding, and tool design. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of the Press Department, helping keep production running smoothly while supporting overall manufacturing goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Operating Press Equipment: Setting up, operating, and monitoring press machines to produce stamped parts according to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Part Loading & Removal: Loading materials into press machines and removing finished parts in accordance with work instructions and safety standards.
  • Quality Inspection: Performing visual inspections and basic measurements to ensure parts meet specifications and quality requirements.
  • Process Monitoring: Watching machine operation closely to identify issues such as tool wear, misfeeds, or defects, and reporting concerns promptly.
  • Shipping & Receiving Support: Assisting with the flow of parts within the department to support timely production and order completion.
  • Safety & Compliance: Following all operational and safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist in other areas of the press department as needed, help maintain a clean and organized work area, communicate any machine or quality concerns to leadership, and support overall production goals.

Qualifications:
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience required
  • Previous press operating experience preferred
