Job Summary
As a part of the Sendik's team, the Bistro Associate is responsible for delivering "best in class" customer service to all guests at the Bistro and on the sales floor. The main responsibility of Bistro Associate is to prepare high quality coffee,specialty coffee, cold press juice, wine and beer for our guests. The Bistro Associate will also assist in miscellaneous duties, such as, but not limited to, delivering food and beverages to guests and helping with minimal food preparation.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve customers in the Bistro while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Providing an exceptional coffee experience
  • Preparing all coffee, specialty coffee, cold press juice drinks, wine and beer to the highest quality standards
  • Assist customers with answering questions and making recommendations
  • Deliver food and beverages to customers
  • Assist with maintaining the back cooler including; rotating stock, dating and cleaning
  • Assist Bistro with stocking and rotating product
  • Assist with minimal food preparation
  • Maintain sanitation and temperature logs as needed
  • Operate, maintain and clean Bistro equipment including espresso and cold press juice machines
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Bistro
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Accurately and efficiently checking-out customer orders; including accurate cash-handling
  • Assist with all other Bistro duties as needed

Qualifications
  • 6 months to 1 year previous espresso preparation experience preferred
  • Eagerness to interact with customers
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
