Press Technician – Night Shift

Location: Loudon, TN

Schedule: Night Shift | 3.5 Days per Week

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a Press Technician to operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain tile press equipment during the night shift. This position plays an important role in maintaining production quality, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing or machine operation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and make process adjustments in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor tile press equipment according to production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform machine setups, die changes, frame changes, and product changeovers.
  • Inspect green tile for quality and make necessary process adjustments.
  • Adjust press settings and operating parameters to maintain product quality.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Assist with die and frame transfers and equipment setup.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues to maintenance or supervision.
  • Accurately record production, downtime, maintenance, and quality information.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and lockout/tagout practices.
  • Properly use all required PPE.
  • Lift, push, pull, and move production materials as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and supervision teams.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to identify and correct basic equipment and production issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer and documentation skills.
