Our client is a well-established, full-service law firm with a sophisticated legal practice serving businesses, institutions, and individuals across a broad range of industries. The firm is known for providing high-quality legal counsel and maintaining a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The Real Estate practice works on complex commercial transactions and provides attorneys with opportunities to work on significant acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, leasing matters, financing, and other real estate transactions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Real Estate Transactional Attorney to join the firm's sophisticated Real Estate practice in Hartford, CT. The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling commercial real estate transactions and will be comfortable managing matters independently while collaborating with attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing.
  • Represent clients in acquisitions and dispositions of commercial properties.
  • Support real estate development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and other transaction documents.
  • Handle office, retail, and/or industrial leasing matters.
  • Manage real estate closings, title review, surveys, and due diligence.
  • Assist with real estate financing transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide practical legal advice to clients.
  • Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and other professionals.
  • Identify and resolve legal and transactional issues.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience handling commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience with commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Experience with real estate development matters.
  • Experience with office, retail, and/or industrial leasing.
  • Experience handling closings, title, surveys, and real estate due diligence.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate law and closing procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Active Connecticut Bar admission is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with real estate financing transactions.
  • Experience working with sophisticated commercial real estate clients.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
