Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to lead the operational strategy, performance, and reliability of a growing portfolio of utility-scale solar PV plants in the United States.
This role will be responsible for establishing and managing a 24/7 operations team, ensuring optimal plant performance, compliance, and safety across an initial fleet of our operating solar facilities, with potential expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end operations of all PV plants, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards.
  • Monitor plant performance metrics (KPIs, PR, availability) and drive continuous improvement.
Build & Manage 24/7 Operations Team
  • Design, recruit, and manage a 24/7 operations control center team (operators, engineers, analysts).
  • Define roles, shifts, and escalation processes to ensure continuous plant monitoring and response.
  • Establish training programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for round-the-clock operations.
Real-Time Monitoring & Control
  • Implement and oversee SCADA and monitoring systems for centralized plant control.
  • Ensure effective real-time response to alarms, incidents, and performance deviations.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with field teams and maintenance providers.
Asset Performance & Optimization
  • Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and propose optimization measures.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance planning in coordination with O&M providers.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual performance guarantees and SLAs.
Stakeholder & Contract Management
  • Interface with asset owners, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee O&M contractors and ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all U.S. federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, NERC, etc., as applicable).
  • Promote and enforce best practices in health, safety, and environmental standards.
Scalability & Growth
  • Develop systems and processes that support portfolio expansion.
  • Contribute to due diligence and onboarding of new assets into the operational fleet.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, or related field preferred).
  • 8–12+ years of experience in power generation operations, preferably in solar PV or renewable energy.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations and building teams.
  • Experience setting up or managing 24/7 control rooms or dispatch centers.
  • Strong understanding of SCADA systems, grid operations, and performance analytics.
  • Knowledge of U.S. regulatory and safety frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
