This role is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while being connected to a supportive virtual team. You will have access to digital platforms and resources to efficiently manage your caseload and communicate with colleagues.

• Conduct initial evaluations to assess patient needs, providing a thorough understanding of their mental health challenges and formulating personalized treatment plans.
• Engage directly with trauma injury patients, employing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques to help them address and manage their emotional difficulties.
• Schedule and conduct regular sessions with patients, developing coping strategies and interventions tailored to their specific issues.
• Monitor ongoing patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on feedback and evolving needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including social agencies and community services, to facilitate comprehensive support for each patient.
• Educate patients on coping mechanisms related to stress and trauma, empowering them with tools to improve their mental health.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain National Certified Counselor certification and stay abreast of advancements in mental health practices.

You will primarily be working with trauma injury patients who may be facing a myriad of emotional and psychological hurdles. This demographic often includes individuals recovering from physical injuries that have led to mental health issues such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Your role is crucial in guiding these individuals through a transformative healing process, which can significantly enhance their overall well-being and recovery trajectory.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• A minimum of three years of experience working specifically with trauma patients.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and case management purposes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, facilitating effective rapport with patients and collaboration with team members.

• Experience using Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care principles.
• A history of involvement with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
