Under general supervision of the Director, a Teacher will teach preschoolers 2 through 5 years of age. The Teacher will also be responsible for, but not limited to, the assessment of children's performance, documentations of children's progress, and effective communication with parents

Essential Functions: Recognize and support the unique Catholic Mission of the school by speaking, acting and instructing consistent teachings of the Catholic Church. Assist the Director with Pre-School Communication which includes the following: Back to School Night, Christmas Program, Newsletters/Calendars, Graduation, and Community Relations. Assist the Director in planning and implementing a balanced, daily schedule.

Work as a team with the Director and other staff to assure that the center functions smoothly. Attend all staff meetings. Have good organizational skills.

Be able to create and produce a developmentally appropriate curriculum, which compliments the school philosophy and encourages and challenges the children. Complete Observation Assessments on each assigned student.. Be aware of safety and health regulations

In addition, must be capable of maintaining a safe and healthy environment. Be able to lift 40 pounds. Be able to reflect a positive attitude in regards to the school, staff, children, parents and community members.

Have knowledge of community resources and the ability to use them. Demonstrate and model professionalism and maintain confidentiality with parents, staff members, as well as all other community members. Demonstrate ability to physically work/play with young children in a variety of contexts including indoors (on the floor, at tables) and outdoors (playgrounds, Job Description / Essential Elements: Print The Pre-K Teacher works alongside the Preschool Director and staff to provide a safe, successful, and supervised educational environment for children to grow spiritually and academically.
