Prepress Production Artist Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Our client is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer / Prepress Production Artist to join our wide-format print and sign company. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can work independently, manage projects efficiently, and require minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and preparing files for a variety of large-format print applications, including: Signs Banners Vehicle Wraps Window Graphics Wall Graphics Billboards Trade Show Displays Other Large-Format Print Projects In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs, preparing print-ready artwork, and producing professional proof mockups for customer approval. Required Skills & Experience Applicants should possess a strong understanding of: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat (Mac environment) RGB vs. CMYK color spaces and proper print applications Raster vs. vector artwork and appropriate file formats Image resolution and identifying low-quality artwork Color correction, photo manipulation, and logo design Preparing print-ready files, including: Bleeds Crop marks Outlining fonts Packaging files Following vendor specifications Large-format printing processes and finishing methods such as: Hems Grommets Pole pockets Vehicle wrap production considerations Responsibilities Design and prepare artwork for production. Create customer proofs and mockups for approval. Review customer-provided files and ensure they meet print specifications. Communicate with customers and team members regarding artwork revisions, proofs, and production requirements. Maintain accuracy and quality throughout the design and production process. Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Previous experience in a sign shop, print shop, or wide-format printing environment preferred.
