The Prepper performs manual and machine-assisted preparation activities in support of assigned production areas. This role ensures materials, components, or assemblies are properly prepared to meet process, quality, and safety requirements for subsequent manufacturing operations.
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Prepares materials, components, or assemblies to a required condition to support downstream production processes.
  • Operates preparation equipment, tools, and machinery as required, following established work instructions, safety guidelines, and training.
  • Performs inspection, handling, setup, and basic modification activities to ensure preparation requirements are met.
  • Supplies workstations with required materials and assists with job completion as needed.
  • Reads and follows job instructions, work orders, specifications, and applicable documentation.
  • Performs basic measurements and calculations to verify preparation requirements.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Demonstrates flexibility by responding productively to changes in work assignments, priorities, or processes.
  • Adheres to all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions, and actively contributes to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment as required (training provided).
