Job description

Description:

We are seeking a reliable and efficient individual to join our team as a Prepper and Key Holder at JT's Pizza and Pub for our new Jerome location. The ideal candidate must be able to open the restaurant independently, prepare the kitchen and dining areas quickly and accurately, and ensure everything is set for a smooth start to the day. This position requires a proactive self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to work effectively without supervision. This position will be required to train at the Grandview location prior to Jermone's opening. The role will also work lunch service.

Key Responsibilities:

Opening & Key Holder Duties:

  • Arrive on time and unlock the restaurant, alarm/disarm security systems, and perform pre-opening checks.
  • Ensure all equipment is operational and conduct safety checks before opening.
  • Open cash registers and prepare point-of-sale systems for the day.
  • Prepare the restaurant for service, including setting up dining areas, buffet stations, and beverage stations as required.

Prepper Duties:

  • Prepare ingredients and menu items ahead of service, including chopping, portioning, and assembling where applicable.
  • Restock prep stations swiftly and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work areas.
  • Assist kitchen staff by delivering prepped items and ensuring timely replenishment during operating hours.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards consistently.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and assist in maintaining overall kitchen hygiene.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant opening roles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, especially during opening shifts.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual with a responsible attitude towards key-holding duties.
