About the Role
Ember Management Group is hiring Prep Cooks to join the opening culinary team for Buccan, Imoto, and The Sandwich Shop in Coral Gables. This is a hands-on position for cooks who take pride in organization, consistency, and high-quality food preparation in a fast-paced, scratch kitchen environment.
Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients and components according to established recipes and standards, maintaining prep levels, and supporting daily service with clean, organized workstations.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare food according to recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain assigned prep pars for daily service.
  • Execute knife work including chopping, slicing, and dicing.
  • Set up, stock, clean, and organize prep stations.
  • Safely operate and clean kitchen equipment (slicers, mixers, ovens, food processors, etc.)
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Practice proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation.
  • Support chefs and kitchen leadership as needed.
