About the Role
Ember Management Group is hiringDishwashers / Stewardsto join the opening culinary team forBuccan, Imoto, and The Sandwich Shopin Coral Gables. This is a hands-on, essential support role for individuals who take pride in cleanliness, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced, quality-driven kitchen environment.
Dishwashers and Stewards are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, dishware, and work areas, while supporting the culinary team with proper organization, trash removal, and back-of-house cleanliness throughout service.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish stations, pot areas, and BOH spaces
- Operate and clean dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with trash, recycling, and compost removal.
- Support kitchen team with basic cleaning and organization tasks as needed.
- Maintain clean floors, drains, mats, and work surfaces.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Practice proper chemical handling and storage procedures.
- Support opening and closing duties as assigned.
