As a Prep Cook, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen by preparing the fresh ingredients our guests expect every day.

Responsibilities include:

• Wash, cut, slice, dice, and portion fresh vegetables and fruits
• Prepare proteins, cheeses, sauces, and dressings according to Newk's recipes
• Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency
• Label, rotate, and store food using FIFO inventory practices
• Prepare soups and other scratch-made recipes as assigned
• Stock prep stations and kitchen areas for daily service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area
• Operate knives and kitchen equipment safely
• Assist with deliveries, inventory organization, and product rotation
• Support the line during busy meal periods when needed
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards

Previous prep cook, kitchen prep, food preparation, or restaurant experience is a plus—but we'll train motivated individuals with the right attitude.

• Keep the kitchen fully stocked and organized throughout the day
• Maintain Newk's high standards for freshness and food quality
• Follow recipes and portion specifications every time
• Minimize food waste through proper storage and rotation
