Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is set up for successful service. This role supports the chefs and line cooks in executing a smooth and efficient meal service while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
  • Weigh and portion food items accurately
  • Prepare meats and seafood for cooking
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves for easy access
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas
  • Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries
  • Follow recipes and instructions from chefs
  • Maintain proper food storage and rotation procedures (FIFO)
  • Perform basic cooking tasks such as blanching or par-cooking
  • Support line cooks during busy meal service
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and tools after use
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not required
