Job description

The Role:

We're looking for a Production Prep Cook to support high-volume kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and components for meal assembly. In this role, you'll be responsible for executing prep tasks with precision and efficiency to ensure all dishes meet quality, consistency, and food safety standards.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in structured kitchen environments and takes pride in clean, consistent execution.


What You'll DoIngredient Preparation
  • Wash, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production needs
  • Execute prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, cooking grains, and preparing sauces

Batch Cooking & Component Production
  • Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and yields to meet quality standards
  • Ensure all prepared items are properly labeled, stored, and organized

Quality & Food Safety
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO)

Production Support
  • Work efficiently to meet daily prep quotas and production timelines
  • Assist with inventory prep and waste minimization

Team Collaboration
  • Coordinate with kitchen leads and plating teams to ensure smooth production flow
  • Communicate any shortages, delays, or quality issues in real time

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a professional kitchen or high-volume food production environment preferred
  • Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques
  • Ability to follow recipes and standardized processes with precision
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Food Handler's Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus
