Job Title: Distribution Center Associate

Classification: Full-Time, hourly / non-exempt 

Pay Range: $19.50 - $21.00+/hr, dependent on relevant experience

Reports to: Warehouse General Manager

Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm

Location: 5000 N Basin Ave., Portland, OR 97217 (no remote)

General Summary

The DC Associate picks, packs, and prepares customer orders for shipping according to customer specifications and ensures product meets company quality standards.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field questions and resolve general shipping issues.
  • Move products and incoming materials to proper location using a hand truck, carts.
  • Determine proper packing requirements to ensure the safe handling of products that meet customer specifications.
  • Package material according to established procedures.
  • Stage packages for pick up by various carriers.
  • Organize and maintain supplies for the department, re-ordering as needed.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • All employees are expected to follow Premier Press company policy manual and security policy.
  • All employees are required to read, understand, and sign Premier Press data privacy/HIPPA policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent GED), or relevant knowledge.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic computer and email skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical demands described below.
  • Consistent and dependable attendance.

Additional Details 

Work Environment: Work is performed in the warehouse, where temperatures can fluctuate with extreme weather. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
