Description
Power Play Distributors is a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) company based in Bolingbrook, IL that is responsible for the distribution of premium frozen pizza products throughout the Midwestern states. The Dock Worker responsibility to pick and stage in and outbound product orders; load and move material on and off trucks.
Functions:
  • Daily inspection of forklifts and check of trailer safety
  • Work from verbal orders and written production sheets
  • Update orders placed by Sales Reps
  • Load and unload trailers
  • Pick and palletize RSR orders.
  • Maintain product flow in and out of the freezer
  • Perform daily housekeeping of dock area, including but not limited to sweeping dock area and emptying garbage
  • Use forklift, hand pallet jacks, hand carts, computer, trailer refer equipment, and common office supplies
  • Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Moving route trucks in yard when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
  • Incumbent must also be able to stand and move around the work area
  • Forklift operation may involve periods of prolonged sitting.
  • Requires bending, squatting, climbing, reaching to gather and move picked items.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry, up to 25lbs
  • Must be able to push/pull pallet jack loaded with material weighing up to 1400lbs.
  • Work take place in a warehouse environment which includes working in, on and around open docks and freezer unit. This position is exposed to extreme temperature variations ranging from 28-35 degree in loading area and 5 to -5 degree in freezer

Requirements
  • Current forklift certification required
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to comply with instructions and prescribed routines, methods, or procedures
  • Ability to exercise judgment of making minor decisions
  • Prior experience working in below freezing conditions preferred.
