Position Overview

Premier Health and Wellness Center in Newark, New Jersey, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our full-time outpatient services team. In this essential role, you will play a critical part in delivering top-tier patient care, developing individualized treatment plans, and facilitating the rehabilitation process for a diverse patient population. Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Newark, NJ, our clinic is an onsite facility that fosters collaboration and teamwork among healthcare professionals. You will work in a clean, well-equipped outpatient office environment designed for optimal patient comfort and safety. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique conditions and recovery goals, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and functionality.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at promoting physical well-being, pain relief, and improved overall health.
  • Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, equipping them with home fitness programs to support their recovery.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
  • Prepare treatment areas by ensuring all equipment and supplies are organized and accessible for every therapy session.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, which includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to develop comprehensive care plans and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to healing.
  • Maintain adherence to ethical standards and patient confidentiality while respecting patient rights and privacy.
