Premier Health and Wellness Center in Newark, New Jersey, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our full-time outpatient services team. Located in the vibrant community of Newark, NJ, our clinic is an onsite facility that fosters collaboration and teamwork among healthcare professionals. You will work in a clean, well-equipped outpatient office environment designed for optimal patient comfort and safety. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs.

• Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique conditions and recovery goals, focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at promoting physical well-being, pain relief, and improved overall health.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, equipping them with home fitness programs to support their recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
• Prepare treatment areas by ensuring all equipment and supplies are organized and accessible for every therapy session.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, which includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to develop comprehensive care plans and optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to healing.
• Maintain adherence to ethical standards and patient confidentiality while respecting patient rights and privacy.

Our patient population spans various age groups and medical backgrounds. As a Physical Therapist at Premier Health and Wellness Center, you will primarily assist patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related mobility challenges. This diverse clientele requires empathetic care and tailored rehabilitation strategies to ensure that every individual achieves their rehabilitation goals.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
• Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset to monitor patient progress.

While a minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with specialty training or certification in areas such as orthopedic or geriatric rehabilitation will be highly regarded. Experience in an outpatient facility is preferred, as it provides familiarity with the fast-paced setting of our practice.
