Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Readies all make-ready material as required. Such as mounting plates, glue pads etc. as well as the gathering said materials at press for next make-ready BEFORE the make-ready begins.
- Maintains press roller and cylinders in inventory by keeping new rollers in ready state behind assigned presses.
- Assures used rollers are reworked in a timely fashion.
- Maintains bearing inventories for all rollers used within the pressroom.
- Maintains plant cleanliness through assigned cleaning projects.
- Maintain the solvent, glue and oil areas in a safe an orderly fashion.
- Maintains all waste and oil products safely and in proper containment. Be sure all waste is packaged properly for pick up.
- Maintain an orderly clean and efficient space in the warehouse for which to inventory new and used consumables.
- Change glue totes when required.
- Help press crews in obtaining consumables when required.
- Actively engages in Pregis apprenticeship program to ensure continuous improvement of self and company.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations. Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
