We are looking for a Construction Manager to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Sr. Manager Construction Services and will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

This individual will be overseeing the construction of installation projects nationwide. This individual will also assist with the bidding, selection, and preconstruction process. The individual will coordinate with contractors, clients, and engineers during the bidding and construction phases of projects. This individual will be a subject matter expert for project managers and project teams, assisting them with various aspects of design and construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Execute multiple simultaneous projects through preconstruction and construction phases.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing bidding documents including but not limited to construction contracts, pre-bid conference agendas, and letter of recommendation to award.
  • Lead pre-bid conference and bid opening meetings.
  • Prepare and review construction documents including but not limited to pre-construction conference agendas, notice to proceed, construction status meeting agendas, field orders, change orders, substantial completion punch lists, final completion punch lists, and certificates of completion.
  • Lead pre-construction conferences and regular construction status meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Collaboratively solve unique construction problems that arise during the course of construction
  • Thrives on performing and solving problems with minimal to no supervision. Fully knowledgeable of company standards, plans and specifications; capable of interpreting project plans; and ability to supervise other technical and non-technical staff
  • Manage schedules on projects being performed by contracted parties.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with various common project conditions, problems encountered in assignments, and proper procedures for rectification.
  • Complete constructability reviews of plans and specifications including conformance to best practices during the design phase of work for projects
  • Prepare bid forms with quantity take-offs during design phase to prepare projects for bidding.

REQUIREMENTS:

B.S. in Civil Engineering or B.S. in Construction Management and 6+ years of progressive experience in construction management field

Detail oriented with tendency to adhere to established procedures

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, interact, and complete duties on schedule

Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision

Practiced in project management, task management, follow-up and follow-through

Practiced in cost estimating

Ability to articulate technical skills and ideas both visually and contextually
