Responsibilities
As a Preconstruction Manager, your key responsibility will be providing direction throughout the preconstruction phase of a project from inception thru turn over to Operations and shall engage with both internal and external entities to ensure that commitments to clients are being satisfactorily met and consistently communicated
  • Provide direction to the assigned estimating team to assemble the estimate (including general and special conditions) and assure the estimates are accurate, complete, and address the actual requirements of the project
  • Create and analyze cost models/forecasts during the design development and/or bidding period, consult and advise on findings with the client and construction team
  • Prepare bid packages for all scopes of work, obtain, and assess bids from subcontractors and equipment/material vendors
  • Coordinate the assembly of preconstruction material for presentation purposes to the owner and engineers - design development estimates, GMP booklets, etc.
  • Lead the preparation and review of trade contracts, subcontracts, and major purchase orders, checking for compliance with construction documents and the estimate
  • Coordinate the project's transition from preconstruction to field operations, verify the status of estimates versus actual project status, view work in place for experience and comparison to the estimate

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in the construction industry
