Preconstruction Manager | Multifamily | Dallas, TX


Blayze Group is partnering with a growing, privately owned Dallas-Fort Worth developer and builder to appoint a Preconstruction Manager or Senior Preconstruction Manager.


The business has an established presence across single-family residential development and construction and is continuing to grow its multifamily platform across North Texas.


This hire will work directly with the Director of Preconstruction, taking ownership of projects through budgeting, bidding and preconstruction, with the longer-term opportunity to help build out the preconstruction team.


The Role

  • Lead preconstruction on multifamily projects, including garden-style communities up to $40M+
  • Prepare budgets, takeoffs and bid packages
  • Manage subcontractor solicitation, bid scoping and bid leveling
  • Support design development, value engineering and cost planning
  • Maintain strong relationships with the North Texas subcontractor market
  • Work closely with Development, Project Management and Operations


Requirements

  • 3+ years of multifamily estimating or preconstruction experience
  • Strong understanding of wood-frame / garden-style multifamily construction
  • Bluebeam, Excel and construction management/bidding software experience
  • Knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth construction market


Compensation is negotiable based on experience, with strong progression available as the multifamily and preconstruction teams continue to grow.
