Job description

A well-established commercial real estate organisation with a decades-long track record of developing, investing in, and managing high-quality office, retail, medical, industrial, and mixed-use properties throughout the United States. The Senior Construction Manager will lead tenant improvement, capital improvement, and ground-up construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Lead preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, scheduling, permitting, design coordination, and contractor procurement.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Administer contracts, pay applications, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with property managers, tenants, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedule.
  • Support tenant improvement projects, including space planning and move-in coordination.
  • Perform constructability reviews, value engineering, and project risk assessments.
  • Assist with capital planning, property assessments, and due diligence activities.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Prepare project status reports and maintain complete project records through closeout.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience, including tenant improvement, capital improvement, and ground-up projects.
  • Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software.
  • Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and MEP systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards.
