Job description

Regeneron's Preclinical Manufacturing & Process Development group (PMPD) in Tarrytown, NY is hiring a Process Development Engineer III.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and design chromatography-based liquid separation projects independently; mentor junior staff.
  • Act as a chromatography authority, identify improvement opportunities, and develop strategies across Regeneron.
  • Drive technology development, write and review complex technical documents reviewed by senior leadership.
  • Implement risk‑based approaches to achieve project goals and address gaps.
  • Provide science‑based recommendations and incorporate internal and external literature.
  • Maintain lab operations, data and knowledge management systems within area of expertise.
  • Shape internal workflows to anticipate customer needs and deliver internal and external presentations.
  • Represent PMPD in multi‑functional meetings and collaborate with internal and external groups.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to lab equipment maintenance and safety to create an efficient working environment.
  • Identify and prevent potential problems with laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Keep up to date with SOP training and compliance responsibilities.
  • Communicate relevant information to PMPD Senior Staff as the departmental program team representative.
Qualifications
  • Degree in an engineering discipline; 0‑2+ years (PhD), 3‑5+ years (MS), or 7‑10+ years (BS) of industrial experience.
  • Industrial experience in protein purification required.
  • Strong initiative, multitasking, and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Innovative thinking and the ability to develop tools or techniques to improve procedures.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.

  • Empower, Unicorn, PI Historian, JMP, LIMS, Spotfire, RPES, ELN
Salary

Salary range: $109,900 – $179,300 per annum.
