What is precision staffing?

Precision Staffing is a staffing agency that specializes in matching qualified candidates with temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire positions across various industries. They work with employers to identify workforce needs and screen candidates to ensure the right fit for each role. Precision Staffing handles recruitment, interviewing, and often onboarding, making the hiring process more efficient for businesses. Job seekers benefit from access to a wide range of job opportunities and support throughout the hiring process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a precision staffing recruiter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Precision Staffing Recruiter, you need strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of recruitment best practices, and experience in talent acquisition, typically supported by a degree in human resources or a related field. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment platforms, and certifications like SHRM-CP or PHR are commonly valued. Outstanding communication, adaptability, and relationship-building abilities help recruiters connect with clients and candidates effectively. These skills are crucial for matching the right talent to client needs, ensuring a smooth hiring process, and building long-term partnerships.

How does working with a precision staffing agency differ from traditional staffing roles, and what should candidates expect in terms of assignments and team collaboration?

Precision staffing agencies focus on matching candidates to highly specialized roles that require specific skills, often in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, or technology. As a candidate, you can expect more targeted assignments that align closely with your expertise, and you'll often work on short- or long-term projects with clients who value your specialized knowledge. Team structures may vary by assignment, but collaboration with both agency recruiters and client supervisors is common to ensure expectations are met. This environment can provide excellent opportunities for learning, networking, and advancing your career within niche fields.

Full-time

Job description

Are you an accounting professional ready to bring your technical depth and operational skills to a role with true autonomy?

Bon Voyage Travel (BVT), a part of the arrivia family of brands, is expanding our accounting team in Tucson! We are seeking a Staff Accountant II who has mastered the foundational ledger, values precision, and wants to drive impact across our financial operations.

Unlike a traditional, siloed corporate accounting role, this position offers full-cycle exposure. You will play a vital part in our strategic monthly close while actively supporting key Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. If you thrive under general supervision, love to take ownership of your day-to-day workflow, and carry a team-first mentality, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do

As our Staff Accountant II, you will report directly to the Controller and manage essential day-to-day financial operations. This role requires high initiative and individual contribution. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Own the Ledger & Close: Prepare and post monthly journal entries, make account adjustments, and drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Full-Cycle Collaboration: Support critical Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions as needed to maintain seamless operational cash flow.
  • Deep-Dive Reconciliations: Perform comprehensive bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Data & Audit Analysis: Investigate account discrepancies, prepare financial reports for management review, and assist external auditors by providing clear workpapers and documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Actively recommend process enhancements to increase speed, efficiency, and accuracy across our accounting systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Core Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, excellent attention to detail, and top-tier organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: High comfort level with personal computers, MS Office (especially advanced Excel), and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Work Style: An independent worker who exercises sound judgment, handles multiple deadlines under pressure, and knows exactly when to proactively escalate issues to leadership.

Who We Are

Bon Voyage Travel is a premier, full-service travel agency based in Tucson, Arizona, and a proud member of the arrivia family of brands. Backed by decades of luxury vacation planning expertise and deep industry partnerships, we combine local, trusted client service with the global scale and powerhouse resources of arrivia.
