We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our network of skilled professionals. As a Travel OR RN, you will perform surgical nursing duties in various healthcare settings including hospitals and surgical centers nationwide. This role requires a committed nurse who can adapt to different clinical environments, support surgical teams, and uphold our standards of excellence and patient safety. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure efficient and safe operating room operations.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including sterilizing instruments and ensuring proper equipment functionality.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and surgical progress, responding swiftly to changes in patient condition.
  • Assist with positioning patients and applying sterile techniques throughout the surgical procedure.
  • Document nursing care, surgical events, and patient information accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and hospital policies to maintain a safe surgical environment.

Requirements
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) of assignment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room nursing or perioperative nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different healthcare facility settings.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse surgical teams.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to various locations across the United States for assignments.
