Role Overview

The Pro Solutions & Precision Specialist is responsible for supporting the installation, calibration, and performance of grade control on John Deere compact construction and equipment precision technology on other John Deere equipment.  

This role serves as the primary technical and optimization resource for compact construction precision technology, connectivity, ensuring systems are set up correctly, operating accurately, and delivering value to both the customer and United Ag & Turf.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute United Ag & Turf's precision strategy
  • Provide recommendations to sales representatives and customers based on desired result
  • Install, calibrate, and support SmartGrade systems on compact construction equipment 
  • Configure systems based on job site requirements and applications 
  • Verify system accuracy and troubleshoot issues in the field 
  • Support GPS integration, base stations, and correction signals 
  • Deliver employee and customer training for precision grade products and best practices 
  • Assist sales and service teams with technical support and demonstrations 
  • Integrate in with the United Ag & Turf Precision team supporting Agriculture, Golf, and Turf Equipment
  • Work with crossover Landscape Contractors with Pro Landscape and Precision compact construction equipment 
  • Provide occasional support for precision agriculture technology such as: 
  • John Deere AutoTrac, Autonomy, See and Spray, Application, Documentation, and Operations Center digital tools 
  • Assist, when needed, with golf and turf course technology applications 
  • Support internal teams as requested when applicable 
  • Work towards becoming a Certified Dealer Instructor applicable products and precision technology

  • T3RRA Cutta

  • Trimble Earthworks 
  • Any additional systems or third-party providers that integrate or complement John Deere Equipment

Key Expectations

  • Deliver consistent, high-quality precision system setup and support 
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and customer confidence in precision technology 
  • Communicate effectively with customers, sales, and service teams 
  • Manage time and priorities across multiple locations and projects 
  • Continue developing technical knowledge across precision systems 
  • 5 or more years of precision grade control experience on construction equipment

  • Customer satisfaction and adoption of precision technology 
  • Reduced downtime and repeat issues 
  • Increased utilization and effectiveness of precision solutions 

Work Environment

  • Primarily field-based (job sites) 
  • Shop and occasional office work 
  • Travel required within dealership territory with overnight stays as needed
