Job description

Commercial Sign Installer 
8am - 430pm
Monday through Friday
Mid County Area
Direct Hire position

Must have experience installing channel letters or monument signs

Job Responsibilities:
• Install a wide variety of signs, including but not limited to channel letters, monument signs, pylon signs, and wayfinding systems
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to properly place and secure signage
• Operate various tools and equipment such as drills, saws, lifts, and cranes safely and efficiently
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and potential challenges
• Prepare surfaces for sign installation, including cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed
• Measure and mark locations for sign placement with precision
• Assemble sign components on-site when necessary
• Securely mount signs to buildings, poles, or other structures using appropriate hardware and techniques
• Perform electrical connections for illuminated signs, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise
• Conduct quality checks post-installation to ensure signs are level, secure, and functioning properly
• Clean up work areas and dispose of waste materials responsibly
• Maintain accurate records of installations, including time, materials used, and any issues encountered
• Collaborate with design and production teams to provide feedback on installation processes and suggest improvements
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and new installation techniques

Skills Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a related field is a plus
• Previous experience in sign installation or related construction/trades work preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Basic electrical knowledge and understanding of local building codes
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs regularly)
• Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
• Willingness to travel locally and potentially stay overnight for projects
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as projects require
