Specialty Parts Inspectors Metal | 1st Shift

Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a precision metal manufacturing team.

This is a hands-on position focused on inspecting, sorting, counting, handling, and packaging small precision metal parts to ensure they meet quality and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, works carefully with small parts, and is comfortable performing repetitive inspection and packaging work in a manufacturing environment.

Previous manufacturing or inspection experience is preferred, but candidates with related production, assembly, packaging, sorting, or metalworking experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect precision metal parts for defects and quality issues
  • Sort and separate acceptable and nonconforming parts
  • Inspect parts using scopes, lights, gauges, and other inspection aids
  • Carefully handle parts to prevent scratches, dents, contamination, or damage
  • Count, package, and label finished parts according to work instructions
  • Follow customer specifications, quality standards, and documented procedures
  • Support sorting, containment, and reinspection activities
  • Maintain accurate inspection, packaging, and production records
  • Identify and communicate defects, shortages, or material concerns
  • Prepare completed parts for the next production operation, packaging, or shipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Assist with punch press, shear, or related production operations when trained and needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to accurately inspect, sort, count, and package small parts
  • Comfortable performing repetitive inspection and production tasks
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
  • Ability to maintain accurate counts and records
  • Dependable with strong attendance
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Experience
  • Manufacturing, quality inspection, production, assembly, sorting, or packaging experience
  • Experience working with precision metal parts
  • Experience using gauges, calipers, micrometers, scopes, lights, or other inspection tools
  • Metal stamping, pressroom, or related manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with identifying nonconforming or defective products
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
  • Ability to visually inspect small and detailed parts
  • Ability to safely handle small, sharp, delicate, or precision metal components
  • Ability to perform repetitive inspection, sorting, counting, and packaging tasks
  • Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and materials
