Location: West Chester, PA
Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Control Manager to lead inspection activities, support quality system compliance, and partner closely with manufacturing teams to ensure every product meets customer expectations.

This role combines technical quality expertise with leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing inspections, interpreting blueprints and GD&T, supporting ISO compliance initiatives, and mentoring quality personnel in a fast-paced precision manufacturing environment.

Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of quality experience in precision machining, CNC manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, or a related environment
  • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs)
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and optical inspection tools
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 quality systems
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, training, or mentoring experience preferred
What You'll Do
  • Lead daily quality operations for precision-machined medical device components and assemblies.
  • Review scheduled jobs and verify revisions, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, processing sheets, and quality documentation.
  • Perform and oversee First Article Inspections (FAIs), in-process inspections, and final inspections.
  • Support machinists and production personnel by providing technical quality guidance and inspection support.
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities and disposition decisions.
  • Investigate non-conformances (NCRs), customer complaints, and quality performance.
  • Support corrective and preventative action initiatives to improve quality performance.
  • Maintain calibration records, SOPs, and quality documentation.
  • Support ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 compliance through audits, documentation reviews, and quality system maintenance.
  • Train, mentor, and develop inspectors and manufacturing personnel on quality procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 5+ years of quality experience within a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
  • Experience performing FAIs and production inspections.
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both leadership and hands-on technical capacities.

Preferred

  • CNC machining or Swiss machining experience.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience.
  • ISO 13485 experience
  • Experience leading quality teams or supervising personnel.
  • ASQ certification (CQI, CQT, CQE) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field preferred but not required.
