The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for process development, manufacturing optimization, and new product launch activities supporting high-volume precision machined hydraulic and powertrain components. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Product Engineering, and customers to improve manufacturing performance, increase process capability, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. Client Details My client is a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered components serving automotive, hydraulic, and industrial markets. The company combines advanced manufacturing technologies with a strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Description Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products. Improve process capability, efficiency, productivity, and product quality. Support precision machining operations including grinding, honing, turning, and milling. Program and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and production processes. Design tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing aids. Develop process plans, capacity analyses, and production cost estimates. Partner with Product Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams. Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Conduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving tools. Design and validate test methods to ensure product and process quality. Evaluate capital equipment investments and develop business justifications. Manage equipment implementation and capital project execution. Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance. Develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and engineering procedures. Analyze production routing, workflows, and manufacturing sequences. Support PFMEA development and continuous improvement efforts. Interface with customers regarding manufacturability, quality, and process capability. Strong understanding of statistical analysis and process capability concepts. Experience managing capital equipment projects. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
