Postman is helping developers and professionals across the globe build the API-first world by simplifying each step of the API lifecycle and streamlining collaboration-enabling users to create better APIs, faster.
The company is headquartered in San Francisco and has offices in Boston, New York, Austin, Tokyo, London, and Bangalore - where Postman was founded. P.S: We highly recommend reading The "API-First World" graphic novel to understand the bigger picture and our vision at Postman.
The Opportunity
Postman's commercial business is scaling quickly across enterprise and mid-market segments, and the volume and complexity of the company's contracting work is growing with it. As Contracts Manager, you will own the operational engine that keeps Postman's commercial deals moving, from contract intake and template management through signature and execution. You will be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. Speed and precision are the baseline as you manage a high volume of global contracts.
Reporting to the Managing Counsel, Commercial, you will manage Postman's contract lifecycle management platform (Ironclad), build and maintain the templates, playbooks, and documentation that the Legal and GTM teams rely on, and directly support high-volume commercial transactions by handling routine agreements and coordinating signature workflows. You will work closely with Deal Operations, Finance, Sales, and your Legal teammates to ensure that contracts are executed accurately, on time, and in a way that scales. You'll also build processes and systems that work at today's volume and scale to support the next stage of Postman's growth. This role is equal parts systems thinking, process discipline, and cross-functional coordination.
What You'll Do
Contract Lifecycle Management and Ironclad Administration
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Postman's Ironclad CLM platform, owning system configuration, workflow design, user management, and ongoing optimization.
  • Build, maintain, and improve automated contract workflows in Ironclad that reduce cycle times and minimize manual steps for the Legal and GTM teams.
  • Manage contract records, metadata, and reporting within Ironclad to ensure accurate, searchable, and auditable documentation across the full contract lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that give Legal, Deal Operations, and Finance leadership visibility into contract volume, cycle times, bottleneck patterns, and other key metrics.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with Ironclad support and our internal Salesforce and GTM tooling team on platform updates, and evaluate opportunities to extend, integrate, and automate CLM functionality.
Commercial Deal Support
  • Support commercial deal flow by preparing, routing, and managing routine agreements, including NDAs, order forms, and standard procurement documents using approved templates and established playbooks.
  • Coordinate signature workflows across internal stakeholders and external counterparties to ensure timely execution, following up proactively to keep deals on track.
  • Triage incoming contract requests and route complex or non-standard matters to the appropriate attorney on the Legal team.
Playbooks, Templates, and Documentation
  • Create, maintain, and update commercial contract templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks in partnership with the Commercial Legal team.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation, including process guides, FAQs, and decision trees that enable Sales, Deal Operations, and Customer Success to self-serve on routine contracting questions.
  • Support GTM team enablement by creating training materials and reference resources that help business stakeholders understand contract processes, approval requirements, and escalation paths.
  • Identify gaps in existing templates or documentation and proactively propose improvements based on patterns observed in deal flow.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner with Deal Operations, Finance, and Sales on a daily basis to keep contract workflows running smoothly and resolve execution issues quickly.
  • Coordinate with the broader Legal team to ensure alignment between CLM processes and legal review workflows.
  • Contribute to Legal team operational initiatives, including process improvements, tool evaluations, and reporting standardization.
About You
Required Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or a similar role supporting commercial transactions at a technology company.
  • Hands-on Ironclad administration experience, including workflow design, template building, reporting, and system configuration. You know the platform well and can build in it, not just use it.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial contract lifecycle in a B2B SaaS environment, from request intake through execution and post-signature management.
  • Experience developing or improving reporting and analytics for legal or deal operations teams.
  • Self-starter who thrives with minimal direction, proactively identifies problems and solutions, and takes full ownership of outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear communicator who builds trust quickly with cross-functional stakeholders and takes ownership of follow-through.
  • Comfort with AI-powered contract tools and enthusiasm for identifying automation opportunities that reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
  • Track record of creating and maintaining contract templates, playbooks, and process documentation. Identifies process inefficiencies and implements improvements without being asked. You see a broken workflow and you fix it.

Strong organizational and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of contracts and signature workflows with speed and precision, without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ tools and how they integrate with CLM workflows.
  • Experience developing and delivering training, onboarding, or enablement materials for Sales, Deal Operations, or other GTM stakeholders on contracting processes.
  • Experience deploying or evaluating AI features within CLM platforms (e.g., Ironclad AI, AI-assisted review, smart clause extraction).
  • Exposure to enterprise SaaS deal structures, including multi-year subscriptions, marketplace transactions, and channel or reseller agreements.
  • Paralegal certificate or legal operations certification (CLOC or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with data privacy agreements (DPAs) and standard security review processes as they relate to commercial deal execution.

Track record of working closely with Deal Operations, Finance, and Sales teams on contract processing, billing handoffs, and reporting.
What Success Looks Like
You will have full ownership of Postman's Ironclad environment, with well-documented workflows, clean contract data, and reporting that Legal and business leadership actively rely on. You will have built a strong operational rhythm with Deal Operations and Finance, and your Sales and Partner team stakeholders will trust that contracts moving through your hands are handled quickly and accurately. Your GTM partners will see you as the person who makes contracting easy.
The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $140,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
