GRAPHIC DESIGNER (STARLINK)
As a Graphic Designer on the Starlink design team, you'll own the complete customer packaging experience, crafting everything from the box and external-facing visuals to the unboxing journey and clear installation instructions. You'll play a key role in building on Starlink's brand story externally, creating compelling visuals that support retail, marketing, and direct customer touchpoints while delivering an on-brand experiences.
This role demands a sharp eye for detail, flawless execution, and the creativity to transform complex technology into intuitive, visually engaging communications that resonate with users worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sketch, storyboard, and ideate impactful concepts for physical packaging, print collateral, and user-facing graphics
- Translate cutting-edge technology into simple, intuitive instructions and clear visual communications
- Design and implement regulatory, legal, compliance graphics to meet product requirements with precision
- Support A/B testing for the unboxing experience and installation guides, rapidly iterating based on feedback
- Strengthen and elevate Starlink's customer-facing brand identity through compelling visuals, storytelling, and cohesive design execution
- Deliver flawless production-ready assets for high-volume printing, working efficiently with vendors to ensure quality and on-time delivery
- Outstanding verbal and visual communication skills, able to clearly articulate and present complex design concepts to engineers, and leadership
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly integrated team environment with daily cross-functional collaboration
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, art, web design, or advertising
- 1+ years of professional design experience in illustration, graphic design, or print production
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally within a creative agency or consumer tech environment focused on digital products and packaging
- Mastery of industry-standard 2D tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
- Experience with 3D visualization tools such as Blender, KeyShot, or equivalent
- Strong expertise in layout, color theory, typography, and visual systems to art-direct and produce compelling digital and physical assets
- Proven experience preparing production-ready files, understanding printer specifications, and successfully managing external print vendors
- Skilled at creating clean 2D assets, iconography, motion graphics, animation, and dynamic interactions that enhance user experience
- Advanced capabilities in image optimization, retouching, manipulation, and precise color correction
- Deep knowledge of digital production standards to deliver pixel-perfect, on-brand assets for both web/apps and high-volume physical print
- Exceptional visual and conceptual skills with the ability to solve complex problems and develop fresh, innovative design solutions
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong visual portfolio is mandatory for consideration
- This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Austin, TX area
- Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours, weekends and offsite when needed
