Job description

Whether a client is bringing that brand to a new location, to a tradeshow, to a fleet of vehicles, or to showrooms around the world - FastSigns can consult, design, produce, and install based on your budget and timing.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Installer (Graphics & Vinyl Specialist) is responsible for the professional installation of vehicle wraps, architectural graphics, and window films for FASTSIGNS clients. This role represents the final and most visible stage of the production process, ensuring graphics are installed accurately, safely, and in accordance with FASTSIGNS quality standards. The specialist prepares surfaces, performs full and partial vehicle wraps, installs interior and exterior graphics across a variety of substrates, and applies window films using industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines.
This position requires a high level of precision, craftsmanship, and problem-solving ability to address real-world installation challenges across different surfaces and environments. The Installer (Graphics & Vinyl Specialist) maintains installation tools and equipment, follows safety procedures when working on ladders or lifts, and helps keep company vehicles and workspaces organized and professional.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Vehicle Wrap Installation
  • Perform full and partial vehicle wraps
  • Properly clean and prep surfaces
  • Remove and reinstall hardware (mirrors, handles, trim)
  • Post-heat and finish wraps to ensure long-term durability

Architectural Graphics Installation
  • Install wall murals, dimensional lettering, and floor graphic
  • Work on interior and exterior surfaces including drywall, glass, metal, and brick

Window Film Installation
  • Apply frosted vinyl, solar film, and perforated window graphics
  • Use both wet and dry application techniques

Site Surveys
  • Visit client locations to take accurate measurement
  • Assess surfaces and installation conditions prior to production

Quality Control
  • Inspect graphics for defects or color issues before installation
  • Ensure final installations meet FASTSIGNS quality standards

Equipment & Safety
  • Maintain installation tools and equipment
  • Follow safety procedures when using ladders, lifts, and cutting tools
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop and vehicle

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong attention to detail and precision cutting skills
  • Ability to read scaled drawings, proofs, or installation guides
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and elevated surfaces
  • Strong problem-solving skills in real-world installation conditions

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 2+ years of experience installing vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, or architectural graphics
  • Experience working with major vinyl brands such as 3M, Avery Dimension, or Orafol
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to travel to installation sites

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • 3M or Avery Dennison certification
  • Experience installing office window films using wet and dry methods
  • Experience installing partial or full vehicle wraps
  • Experience with kiss-cut graphics
