Job Description
Compensation: $35.13 to $39.78 an hour
Shifts Available: Days, 5:20am to 5:30pm, with 3 paid breaks
Nights, 5:20pm to 5:30am, with 3 paid breaks
ROLE: Support the lines in your work group. Work with Value Stream Manager, Work Group Leaders, Process Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Line Technicians, Set-up Technicians, etc., to improve overall line reliability and case attainment.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Diagnose faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum amount of supervision using the provided schematics, manuals, and drawings. Be able to diagnose and repair electro-mechanical problems, troubleshoot electrical problems, have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance strategies, and be able to train others in doing these responsibilities.
  • Identify faulty parts and provide proper nomenclature in the form of a requisition in order that spares or replacements can be ordered.
  • Be knowledgeable of what and where spare parts are in the store room, and observe the store room withdrawal and return procedure.
  • General working knowledge of machine shop equipment.
  • Must be team-oriented with leadership qualities and capable of leading co-workers in assigned tasks.
  • Will be expected to maintain necessary records and established maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Responsible for additional specific duties related to each shift as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader.
  • Work with and train maintenance shift technicians
  • Work, train, and have open communication with all members of your work group team.
  • Walk story boards though out work group and develop action plans for the resolution of repeatable failures
  • Work with other members of the workgroup on action items, which will improve line efficiency, by taking the lead on line improvements, design of experiments, and projects.
  • 24/7 On-call phone support for assistance/reporting to/by team
  • Other duties as necessary

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Administrative: Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems. Including but not limited to SAP, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft, etc.
Communication/Teamwork:
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work closely and productively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to create and/or exhibit an atmosphere of openness, honesty, trust, and teamwork
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize as needed without loss of effectiveness and composure

Safety: Demonstrates ability to understand and actively participate in all company safety programs, policies and procedures.
Quality: Ability to develop and maintain processes that are ISO compliant.
Technical Knowledge: Demonstrates an advanced, comprehensive knowledge of the entire process from concept to commercialization.
Operate Equipment:
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as required
  • Demonstrates ability to utilize standard hand tools
  • Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment

Maintenance/Repair:
  • Demonstrates advanced mechanical aptitude and abilities
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of production technological methods and procedures, and capabilities of machines and equipment in manufacturing facilities

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field
  • High school graduate required
  • Completion of a vocational or trade school curriculum from an authorized school with a concentration in electro-mechanical courses desired
  • Must be able to read and use precision type instruments such as micrometers and calipers
  • Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings

ADA - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to:
  • Work an 8 - 10-hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods
  • Climb
  • Heed safety warnings, devices and alarms
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Possess an adequate ability to do problem solving, establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
