We are looking for a 2M (Miniature and Micro-miniature) Certified Electronic Technician (30084) to support our customer in Crane, IN. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience.
This role requires in-person support.
Duties:
  • Perform 2M miniature and micro-miniature (M/M) electronic repairs on circuit cards, modules, and assemblies used in U.S. Navy EW systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components in accordance with NAVSEA and DoD technical manuals.
  • Conduct soldering, rework, and precision component replacement under microscope using approved Navy repair standards.
  • Maintain repair records and documentation per NAVSEA Standard Item and NSTM requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance personnel to ensure repairs meet standards.
  • Support depot maintenance operations as required.

Desired Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in machining or manufacturing preferred.
  • Current 2M (Miniature/Micro-Miniature Electronic Repair) Certification - desired or willing to obtain 2M certification.

Desired Experience:
  • Six (6) years of experience in the duties listed above equivalent work experience OR Associates degree with four (4) years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience performing fine-pitch soldering, board-level troubleshooting, and component-level repair.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality control, and adherence to Navy workmanship standards.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Navy maintenance procedures, Navy drawings, and MIL-STD documentation preferred.

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit. Precise Systems is meeting that benefit through the use of a bona fide plan which includes certain insurance coverage.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
