Job description

This full-time, day shift role offers an opportunity to serve as a Float Clinical Pharmacist Operations Specialist supporting a prominent hospital setting. The position requires overseeing daily operations of specialized pharmacy practice areas and providing clinical pharmaceutical care on an as-needed basis.
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: 8 hours, Day shift
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of specialized pharmacy areas such as IV room, narcotics management, informatics, and residency programs
  • Provide pharmaceutical care as a staff pharmacist when needed
  • Support users, perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Coordinate upgrade testing, deliver education, and act as subject matter expert for operational specialty areas
  • Provide training to staff and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents
Qualifications:
  • B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting
  • Completion of accredited PGY-1 residency or fellowship AND PGY-2 residency or fellowship in a specialty area, OR
  • PGY-1 residency or fellowship plus 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience, OR
  • 5+ years of clinical pharmacy experience without residency/fellowship
  • Active, good-standing Pharmacist license with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
  • BLS certification
  • ALS/ACLS certification
  • Compliance with additional state pharmacy requirements (e.g., sterile compounding)
Preferred:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certification or other recognized specialty certification
