Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. is a world-class leader in designing and manufacturing custom machine bases for vibration-sensitive production tools used in semiconductor fabrication.
Position Overview:
The Painter is responsible for preparing, repairing, and coating precast concrete pedestals in an indoor manufacturing environment. While professional paint experience is valuable, this role requires strong attention to detail, flexibility, and a willingness to support multiple finishing processes. Work includes extensive surface preparation, detailed Bondo application, caulking, painting, and cross-training in grinding and powder coating operations to support production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare precast concrete pedestals for finishing through grinding, filling, sanding, and surface correction
  • Apply Bondo to large concrete surfaces to close pores and ensure smooth finishes within tight manufacturing specifications
  • Perform detailed sanding and finishing work to meet quality standards
  • Apply coatings, including two-part epoxies, as required
  • Perform caulking applications consistent with painter skill sets
  • Cross-train and assist in grinding and powder coating processes as production demands fluctuate
  • Ensure all work is accurate, complete, and clean before moving products to the next functional area
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Complete required paperwork at the time of task completion
  • Participate in safety training and properly use required PPE, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and full-face respirators when necessary (all PPE provided by the Company when applicable)
  • Assist other departments as needed and other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Professional paint experience preferred; however, strong attention to detail and quality workmanship are essential
  • Experience with two-part epoxies, Bondo, and surface preparation techniques preferred
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform multiple finishing-related functions
  • Skilled with sanders, hand tools, and measuring instruments (metric or imperial)
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to recognize defects and take corrective measures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards and a positive team environment

Work Environment:
  • Physically demanding shop floor environment
  • Frequent lifting of up to 35 lbs. and occasional lifting of no more than 50 lbs.
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators when applicable (all PPE provided).
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
