Precast Concrete Quality Assurance Technician — Corsicana, TX

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Quality professional to support a precast operation in Corsicana, Texas. If you enjoy hands-on testing and detailed inspections that keep production on-spec, this is your next move.

A day in the role

Clock in early, gear up, and step into a 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM production rhythm, Monday through Friday. Your morning may start with aggregate gradations and moisture checks before the first trucks roll. As pours begin, you’ll perform field and lab tests on fresh concrete, then transition to hardened concrete evaluations. Between pours, you’ll complete thorough pre-pour and post-pour inspections on precast panels, verifying post‑tensioning and pre‑tensioning cables are placed and stressed correctly. Throughout the day, you document results, flag nonconformances, and partner with production to resolve quality issues quickly and accurately.

What you’ll handle
  • Run core aggregate tests: gradations, moisture content, and specific gravity.
  • Execute concrete testing on fresh and hardened material (including plastic properties and ASTM/ACI procedures).
  • Complete comprehensive Pre‑Pour and Post‑Pour inspections for precast panels.
  • Inspect and verify post‑tensioning and pre‑tensioning cables.
  • Identify, document, and report production quality concerns.
What you bring
  • Background in concrete, aggregate, precast, or ready‑mix production.
  • Familiarity with ACI or PCI testing standards (preferred, not required).
  • Ability to read mix designs and keep precise records.
  • Comfort working in indoor and outdoor production environments.
Schedule, pay, and benefits
  • Pay: 18-28 DOE
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (approx. 60-hour weeks with 20+ hours overtime)
